Geo-spatial integration of Dar-Zarrouk geoelectrical parameters and land surface dynamics for aquifer characterization in Ohafia, Southeastern Nigeria

- Povzetek: Trajnostno upravljanje podtalnice zahteva poglobljeno razumevanje značilnosti podzemnih vodonosnikov in njihovega medsebojnega vpliva s površinskimi okoljskimi dejavniki. V jugovzhodni Nigeriji, kjer naraščanje prebivalstva in spremembe v rabi zemljišč vse bolj ogrožajo vodne vire, so tovrstne ocene ključnega pomena. Namen te študije je bil oceniti zaščitno sposobnost in produktivnost vodonosnikov v Ohafii v jugovzhodni Nigeriji z uporabo integrirane geofizikalne in prostorske analize. Skupno je bilo analiziranih sedem točk vertikalnega električnega sondiranja (VES) z uporabo Schlumbergerjeve razporeditve za določitev upornosti, debeline in globine vodonosnika. Izračunani so bili Dar-Zarroukovi parametri, vključno z vzdolžno prevodnostjo in prečno odpornostjo. Ti podzemni parametri so bili integrirani z gostoto rečne mreže, digitalnimi modeli višin (DEM) in podatki o rabi tal za leto 2024 (LULC) z uporabo orodij GIS za analizo prostorskih povezav in njihovega vpliva na potencial podzemne vode. Vrednosti upornosti vodonosnika so se gibale med 99,4 in 1360 Ω·m, medtem ko je vzdolžna prevodnost znašala od 0,02 do 0,63 1/Ω. Najvišja transmisivnost (40,40 m²/dan) je bila ugotovljena na območju Achị, kjer prevladujejo pašniki, kar kaže na ugodne pogoje za vodonosnik. Območja z večjim deležem drevesne vegetacije in pašnikov so izkazovala boljšo zaščito vodonosnika in večji potencial za obnovo podzemne vode kot pozidana območja, kot sta Elu in Abiriba. Gostota rečne mreže in vzorci rabe tal so pomembno vplivali na dinamiko ponikanja vode. Območja z visoko gostoto rečne mreže so bila povezana s slabšim potencialom ponikanja, razen kjer so bile prisotne ugodne litološke razmere. Območja z vegetacijo so spodbujala infiltracijo, medtem ko so neprepustne površine to ovirale. Študija kaže, da kombinacija Dar-Zarroukovih parametrov in površinskih geoinformacijskih podatkov zagotavlja zanesljiv okvir za karakterizacijo vodonosnika. Novost raziskave je v celostni obravnavi geomorfoloških, antropogenih in geoelektričnih kazalnikov za določanje prednostnih območij za izkoriščanje podtalnice v podatkovno omejenih tropskih regijah.
