Tracing nitrate nitrogen input-output dynamics at the Padež stream watershed
Spremljanje dinamike vnosa in spiranja nitratnega dušika na porečju potoka Padež

- Povzetek: Občutljivost ekosistemov na spremembe količin dušika v okolju je velika. V želji, da jih zaščitimo pred preobremenjenostjo s hranili in jim omogočimo zdrav razvoj, je poznavanje masne bilance dušika ključnega pomena. Spremembe v količini dušika se, poleg naraščajočih antropogenih vnosov dušikovih spojin v okolje, pojavijo zaradi delovanja meteoroloških, hidroloških, geoloških in bioloških dejavnikov oziroma biogeokemijskega kroženja med biotopom in biocenozo. S pomočjo podatkov o koncentracijah nitratnega dušika v vodotoku in padavinah ter podatkov o količini padavin in odtoku s prispevnega območja potoka Padež smo analizirali mesečno dinamiko vnosa in spiranja nitratnega dušika, ki je podana kot razlika med količino vnesenega in spranega nitratnega dušika na hektar prispevne površine. V časovni dinamiki je opazen sezonski vpliv. Porečje nekaj časa deluje kot izvor in nekaj časa kot ponor nitratnega dušika, odvisno od hidroloških razmer in potencialne količine mobilnega nitratnega dušika v sistemu tal, ki se nadalje spira v vodotok, ter njegove koncentracije v padavinah.
